A BIT ABOUT RUBY Throughout childhood, Ruby always knew something wasn't right. It wasn't until she was 12 when she saw Hilary Swank in the movie Boys Don't Cry did she realize what was wrong. When she turned 18, Ruby began hormone therapy. At 20, she underwent sexual reassignment surgery and became Rory. Transformation was painful and difficult, but Rory enjoyed his new life as an amazing man. Everything felt right and natural. But in a tragic turn of events, Rory lost his left leg in a horrible motorcycle accident. Pictured is Rory rehearsing a dance routine for FOX TV's So You Think You Can Dance.
